Welcome Midway District Fire Chief Shannon Stone!
During the promotional ceremony of newly appointed Chief Shannon Stone he turned to the fireman and said this:
“We’re gonna place training on the forefront of everything we do”
“We’re gonna continue to embrace the importance of being good at every single thing we do”
“Masking up quick is important”
“Stretching to the door quick and efficient 100% of the time is important”
“Being a really great paramedic, not a good paramedic but a GREAT paramedic is important”
“We’re gonna continue to embrace the operational high performance philosophy”
“We’re gonna continue to prepare that everyday when we come into work that you’re ready to go get one of your kids, because at some point you’re going to get someone’s kid”
“You’ve heard it time and time again that you only get one chance and one opportunity to get it right, we don’t get playbacks”
“The leadership philosophy is not going to change”
“It’s going to be servant leadership”
“It’s going to be putting others before ourselves”
“And we’re going to continue to do great things”
